After 15 years in the diaspora — from China to Dubai — I saw countless Africans struggling despite their potential.

I realized that the only way to overcome these challenges was to unite, organize, and act together.

AFCODD is that answer — a bridge of hope between Africans abroad and the future of Africa.”

The Inspiration Behind AFCODD –

The Afro Community Development in the Diaspora (AFCODD) was born out of a shared realization — that while Africans abroad are contributing immensely to their home countries, their efforts remain fragmented and under-coordinated.

Our founder, Mr. David Kasajja, spent over 15 years in the diaspora — from China to Dubai — witnessing the struggles of his fellow Africans:
 unpredictable deportation threats, lack of legal advocacy, low-paying jobs, poor access to welfare systems, and isolation from community support.

Despite these challenges, he also saw potential — an untapped power in the African diaspora that, if united and organized, could transform lives both abroad and in Africa.
 Thus, on September 14, 2025, during the BBAACO Convention in Dubai, AFCODD was officially launched — marking the start of a new era of unity, empowerment, and shared purpose for Africans living abroad.

The Turning Point

As Africans abroad faced similar issues — from cultural disconnection to lack of financial inclusion — AFCODD emerged as a community-driven solution.
 It became more than an organization; it became a movement that restores dignity, builds networks, and turns diaspora challenges into opportunities.

AFCODD provides practical assistance to:

  • Women facing unplanned pregnancies or financial hardship.
  • Single mothers without family or legal support.
  • Prisoners and victims of deportation.
  • Patients in hospitals with limited financial help.
  • Children without parental care or community protection.
  • These initiatives reaffirm AFCODD’s belief that “Compassion and Unity are the foundation of progress.”

Our Founding Philosophy

AFCODD was founded on the conviction that Africans abroad are not just remittance senders — they are agents of change.
 The organization seeks to mobilize their collective knowledge, innovation, and compassion to fuel sustainable development at home.

Through strategic mobilization, mentorship, and investment, AFCODD bridges the gap between diaspora potential and African progress, proving that when Africans unite, transformation follows.
